Terms and Conditions:

 

Payment: Once you have decided to purchase a carving, contact me via e-mail to confirm the total cost.  Sorry, I do not accept credit cards; personal check or money order only. For custom made orders, 50% deposit in advance is required before I begin any work. The remaining balance is due once the work is complete, but prior to shipping.  I will let you know when the payment has been received, and will keep you posted on my progress.  6% sales tax will be charged for PA residents only.

Packaging / Shipping: There will be an additional shipping charge added for packaging and shipping.  I ship FedEx and insure the item for its worth.  The charge will vary depending on the value of the item, as well the location of your shipping address.  This charge may also be increased if the carving to be shipped is considered “oversized”. 

I will notify you via e-mail as to when the item has been shipped, and can provide you with the tracking # if you so desire.

NOTE: Due to restrictions, I only ship within the United States.

 

Return Policy: It is my hope that you will be pleased with your purchase upon receipt.  However, if you are not satisfied for any reason, the item(s) purchased may be returned for a full refund, minus any shipping/packaging fees.  Please notify me within 2 days of receiving the item(s) you intend on returning; they must be shipped back to me within 10 business days.  Otherwise, I will not accept the return. Damaged Items: I will personally package the item(s) to be shipped, and I do so extremely well.  However, if you find something broken due to shipping, notify me within 10 days of receipt.  I will start the claims process.  Remember, FedEx requires you to save the box, wrappings, shipping materials, and broken items in order to be able to prove damages!   If it is minor damage, we can determine whether to forego the FedEx claims process and have myself repair the damage; sometimes this is more desirable to the customer.

 

Custom Ordering information:

Aside from all items that are currently in stock in my Available Works section, everything else is considered custom work; all other images, including the Gallery, are examples of past commissions from other customers.  They are all originals, and although I can certainly reproduce a past design if you wish, it will also be considered an original and may vary from the previous version to assure that you possess a unique piece of your own.  I welcome new ideas and am willing to work with you to help make your vision a reality, whether that idea is vague, or extremely specific.

Custom walking sticks:  if you would like to order a custom walking stick, whether it be an existing design you see here or something completely new, we can talk about that.  There are few specifics I need to know right up front:

​

• Are you looking for a supportive cane, or more of a taller hiking staff style of stick?

• Will the stick be used for a therapeutic need?

• The average height and weight of the intended user of the stick

• Measurement: with the intended user’s hands down at their sides, standing fully erect with shoes on, measure the distance from the wrist joint to the floor.  If this is not possible (it’s a surprise gift perhaps), either measure their existing cane when they aren’t looking, or make a REAL good guess : )

Once I have a good idea of the work involved, I will quote a price and a begin time.  Most times of the year I do have several orders lined up, so the begin time of your piece will be dictated by that.  Most pieces take 4 to 6 weeks, depending on the design complexity.   My quoted prices will be based on the complexity of the carving, the materials involved (ex: a particular species of wood), combined with the amount of time it will take to complete.
